PATIENT NOTICE - VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

From Monday 8th until Thursday 11th October the practice will be running a very limited service due to removal and replacement of our computer system.

What this means for you:

We cannot see patients except for absolute emergencies.  Please do not ring during this time as we cannot give you an appointment

We cannot process prescriptions.  if you know you will need a prescription at this time please submit it to us by Thursday 4th October at the latest so we can print off before the computers are removed.

Please do not attend for a blood test during this time as we will not be able to take it.  You can come on Monday 8th, Thursday 11th or Friday 12th October instead.

Please be patient and bear with us during this time.

Other Services

ANTE-NATAL, CHILD AND FAMILY HEALTH CLINIC

pregnant_stomachThis is held every Wednesday morning with a doctor, health visitor and practice nurse in attendance. Babies and children are immunised or given a routine health check. You will be sent an appointment through the post if your baby or child is due for an injection or developmental check.

If you wish to consult the doctor or health visitor for any other issue, please ring and make and appointment.

The antenatal clinic is held every Wednesday morning with a doctor and midwife in attendance. You will be given an appointment to attend the antenatal clinic when you book in with the nurse.

The midwives also run a drop-in clinic Monday-Friday between 9.00-10.00 am for any other pregnancy issues you may have.

SMOKING CESSATION CLINIC

Every Thursday morning between 12 noon and 1 pm a smoking cessation clinic is held for patients who wish to stop smoking. Help and advice is available and as this is a drop-in clinic no appointment is necessary. Just turn up on the day and you will be seen. If you are unable to attend at this time please ring NHS Lothian on 0131 672 9532 for details of other clinics in the area.

CITIZENS ADVICE SERVICE

The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice and runs a session between 2.00 and 5.00 pm every Tuesday afternoon. If you would like help in any of these areas please make an appointment with the receptionist on 0131 322 2111.
