You should only leave the house for very limited purposes:
Important - These reasons are exceptions – even when doing these activities, you should be minimising time spent outside of the home and ensuring you are 2 metres apart from anyone outside of your household.
There is separate advice about staying at home if:
Do not leave your home if you have either:
To protect others, do not go to places like a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay at home.
Use the 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do.
Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.
Important - Call 111 for advice if you're worried about a baby or child.
If they seem very unwell, are getting worse or you think there's something seriously wrong, call 999.
Do not delay getting help if you're worried. Trust your instincts.

Our practice manager, Jackie Connor, is responsible for the overall smooth running and back-room organisation of the practice. She will be happy to hear your comments – both good and bad – so feel free to ring or ask to see her in person at any time. Her remit is to provide an efficient and friendly service of the highest possible standard. We recognise, however, that occasionally things do not go as smoothly as we would like. We welcome suggestions and there is a suggestion box available for your comments in reception. Should you have any reason to complain, please make this in writing to Jackie, who is the complaints officer. The practice has an approved in-house complaints procedure.
The Care Coordinators team will make appointments for you to see the doctors and other members of the practice team. They have been trained to ask you several question. Answering that question will help them to offer you care you need as soon as possible.
They will be pleased to help you regarding any queries you may have including change of address or telephone number (including mobile numbers). Just ring the main surgery number (0131 322 2111) or call in and speak to them. Our reception area is a very busy place with the Care Coordinators answering queries, making appointments, printing prescriptions, scanning records often all at the same time! Please be patient if you are waiting at the front desk – they will be with you as soon as they can.
